Restore Defaults

Sa computer or video games, madalas nating nae-encounter ang salitang "Restore Defaults." Meaning, i-rereset natin 'yung original settings ng game, or ng computer system.

We normally change the system's default settings, para maging comfortable tayo sa gaming experience and computer work natin. To satisfy our needs, and make life easier...nga ba?

Tayong mga tao, we have our default settings din. Yes, really. Mag-biblical history tayo. Book of Genesis. God created man in His own image and likeness. Kahugis (image), at kawangis (likeness). We are created sinless, pero limited. 'Yun nga lang, dahil sa ahas na 'yon, lagot na. Naging punish-able ang tao. That's when the devil change the man's default settings into his pleasurable settings.

But God doesn't want His creation to perish 'til death, dahil aside from He is just, He is also loving. Kaya He sent His beloved Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior to take us away from sin's bondage. How? By His stripes, nail pierced hands, and by His blood. Shortly, by His death and resurrection.

When we learn to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and letting Him take control of our life, our old self (wicked self) has also died with His death. And our new life (the righteous, default self) has resurrected with Him. Kaya nga "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The OLD HAS PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD, THE NEW HAS COME." | 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Illustrating this by video games and computer settings, when we choose to click restore defaults, we will go back to the original settings. Now, when we choose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we're not just restored and default, but NEW. NEW as in BAGO.

So..I'll leave you with a question: Do you choose to Restore New Defaults and let God turn the knobs of our life settings, or still living on the earth and striving to walk on our own ways?

May God's wisdom and Spirit be on you to help you decide on the calling of God. Amen.

Fault Finders

There really are some people who try to bring us down, by finding faults in our lives. May iba na nangungutya, nang-aabuso, o iba talagang trip lang. Pero what's really wrong about this is that, 'DI NILA INIISIP ANG NARARAMDAMAN NG IBA.

Pero the good thing is, meron talagang mga tao na pinapansin ang mga pagkakamali natin PARA I-BUILD UP TAYO. PARA PATATAGIN TAYO. PARA SUPORTAHAN TAYO. PARA MAGING MAS MAGALING TAYO SA SARILI NATIN. On the other hand, MAS INIISIP NILA ANG KAPAKANAN MO PARA SA KINABUKASAN, KAYA MONG TUMAYO.

There are 2 types of Fault finders:

1.     Breakers - sila 'yung mga mahilig mambasag ('di joke lang). Sila yung mga taong makutya sa iba. 'Yung mga 'di iniisip ang nararamdaman ng iba. 'Yung hinahanap ang MALI NILA SA MALI NG IBA. DEFENSE MECHANISM ba. Mas nagtutuon sila ng oras na hanapin ang mali ng iba, kesa magtuon ng oras para hanapin ang mali sa sarili nila.

2.     Stewards - sila naman yung mga ENCOURAGEMENT PERSON. Most of the time, sila 'yung BEST FRIEND natin. 'Di kasi best friend ang tawag sa kaibigang puro bola ang sinasabi. Stab friend ang tawag dun. Hinahanap nila ang mali natin para baguhin tayo. Para mas matuto at tumatag tayo.

Personally, I have more STEWARD friends that Breaker ones. I thank God for both, for He makes me see the other positive side of both. From stewards to build me up, and breakers to help me focus on Him. :) Ngayon..check ourselves. Sino ka at ako dito? Ano ang role mo sa kaibigan mo?

The greatest steward and best friend of all know it. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only best friend we have. He allows us to be in trials and gently make us see our present faults to help us CUT IT OUT. Sometimes, it's the good things that need to be taken away, pero it will bring in us the better person we are to be, by His will and plan. Sacrificial love nga. He wants what's best for us.

Sabi nga nya, "I am the vine; you are the branches. The one WHO REMAINS IN ME - AND I IN HIM - BEARS MUCH FRUIT, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing." | John 15:5

He wants us to bear fruit. Not be stagnant. Kaya our present faults that He somehow revealed is something that we need to give up. Sabi rin nya, "..dry branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire and are burned up." (John 15:6) So we, as His living stewards, must cast out the part that doesn’t bear fruit in our life.

God moves to make you standing more firm everyday. Minsan, ginagamit nya ang real best friend natin para sabihan tayo na 'di na tayo umaasenso sa gawaing ganto, ganyan, etc. He also uses other people to lead us to new branches. To new learning and abilities. When He saw in us that we bear fruit, He will give more. For whoever can be entrusted with little, can be entrusted with much.

Ngayon, how can BREAKERS stop what they're doing, and STEWARDS to continue? Fill your hearts with every word you speak, THROUGH LOVE. Real service happens through LOVE. If your heart is filled with faults and evil things, you will speak faults and evil things. But if you fill your heart with LOVE and COMPASSION, your words will be full of encouragements. Why? "For the overflowing of the heart, a man speaks." (Luke 6:45) Let the Spirit of God help you. Do not worry on what you will say, kasi si God ang tutulong sa'yo. :)

So, question is, who am I and who are you? A Breaker, or a Steward? What does God want me to do?

Professor Terror

'Pag college ka, madalas nating marinig ang salitang 'to:

"Naku si sir/ma'am prof 'nyo? Binagsak kami nun eh! Good luck (sabay smile)."

Parang ang sarcastic 'di ba? Pagkatapos sabihan ng 'di maganda 'yung prof, sabay goodluck. :)

But there's one thing that I've realized through God's message of wisdom: If we learn to seek God, and let Him show you that He looks upon you as an excellent person, we will learn to be studying and working harder for school and workplaces. Mag-iiba bigla 'yung perspective natin in studying. :)

What I am saying is, dahil sa pagkamatay ni Jesus sa cross, and by His resurrection, we gained new life. That is, a righteous, clean, and excellent person in God's eyes. Ngayon, as children of God, we just have to learn to ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. Naka-bold and underline na para talagang kaboom. That's really the key to start the new life and walk to that new road of success to fulfill God's plan and perfect will for you and me kasi eh. Because of what He said in His word, He knows "the plans [He] made for you, plans to PROSPER YOU and NOT TO HARM YOU, plans to GIVE YOU A HOPE AND A FUTURE." | Jeremiah 29:11


Plano ni God na maging successful ka. Will nya na guminhawa ang buhay ng bawat isang tao na ginawa nya. Why not live it in our lives? Bakit 'di natin isabuhay 'yon sa buhay natin? (italicized 'pag tagalog para mukhang book) Pero really and seriously speaking, bakit nga ba hindi?

There are some things why..

• We worry. Nag-aalala tayo na baka mag-fail tayo kay God. 'Wag kang matakot. God picks us up whenever we fall and helps us to continue without a trace of a scar. There's always time to start again. God will provide.
• We are tempted. Number 1 na kalaban talaga 'to. What are temptations? COMPUTER GAMES AND INTERNET THAT LEADS TO LAZINESS, HAVING SO MUCH THINGS THAT MAKES US LACK FOCUS, ETC. Ang dami pa, pero these are some.Take time to flee from these, or turn it around by God's grace. Use these to have opportunities in fulfilling God's promises. Sa internet, magresearch. Read texts that encourage us to look upon God's purposes.
• We are brought down. Which makes us feel..INSECURE. Maraming magsasabi na " 'di mo kaya 'yan." Pero God says to you, "YOU CAN, BECAUSE I BELIEVE AND SAW THAT YOU CAN!"

Getting to the point..it doesn't matter kung sino ang prof na hahandle sa'tin. As long as we focus on God, on the strengths (abilities) He gave us, on blessings and on the solutions (not on how the solutions will work for it triggers worrying), and we STRIVE FOR THE EXCELLENCE GOD LOOKS UPON US, we will thrive. Magiging excellent tayo. Be EXPECTANT of GOOD THINGS. DREAM BIGGER WHILE BEING REALISTIC! This is God, being and using yourself as your motivation and inspiration. :)

Let the peace of God rest on you as you walk on the road with God. Walang training na madali. There's gonna be testings and trials, but HOPE AND TRUST IN FAITH WITH THE LORD. He will MAKE US STRONGER.

Show the experienced, the experience you have with God.

Stand firm, resist the enemy and guard your heart. Makinig ka kay God and on the people He uses to encourage you, and 'wag sa pag-bring down ng ibang tao. Dream bigger by God's grace! At the end, All glory and honor is to God lang! It's not by our own, but by God's presence. May His unfailing love, grace, favor, and peace, rest on you, folks with Christ! Amen.

Nasayo Na Ang Lahat

Unang taglish post na message para sa'kin at sa lahat...

Hinahanap mo ang lahat sa barkada, damit, pera, etsetera..
Nakanino nga ba ang lahat?

Wala naman sa materyal na bagay o estado sa buhay dahil nawawala din yun..

Kahit kay Daniel Padilla at sa sinasabihan nya wala pa rin sa kanya ang lahat..

Nasa Isa lang ang lahat..kontrolado Nya kasi lahat..sa apat na sulok ng mundo (kahit bilog o oblate spheroid pa), lahat ng mga bagay-bagay kontrolado. Sunrise o set, moonlight, 'twinkle-twinkle little star,' alon sa dagat, at lahat, in control para sa'tin ('yung picture nga pala di yan sanga na nasa kahon yan yung buong galaxy..di lang isa, kundi lahat).

Nasa Kanya na ang lahat..kasi namatay na sya para sa'yo, sa inyo, at sa'kin. Wala na tayong kailangan pang gawin para mas mahalin nya tayo, KASI MAHAL NYA NA TAYO NG SOBRA. More than we expect, sabi nga ng iba. :)

Sa paglapit mo sa Kanya, kahit nasa kanya na ang lahat, natutuwa pa Syang i-share sa'yo. 'Di lang sya mapagmahal, all-centered pa sya. Sabi nga, "if we share on His sufferings, we may also share on His glory." | Romans 8:17

Bakit ka mag-aalala bukas, kung "tomorrow will worry about itself (Matt. 6:34)?" Iniisip nating wala tayong pera, wala tayong pagkain o pangkain, at USUALLY, wala tayong maisuot pero ang daming damit sa cabinet o sapatos sa shelf. Learn to appreciate small things. Pinoproblema natin ang PROBLEMA, eh ang dami nating blessings: may buhay tayo, pamilya, kaibigan, mahal sa buhay, most of it, ETERNAL LIFE FROM GOD THROUGH JESUS OUR LORD.

We just need to focus on the Giver and not on the things. We have our own abilities. Binigay ni God yan..pagyamanin mo. Appreciate, as well, these abilities. If he gave us 3 abilities, be fruitful. "For whoever can be entrusted with little can be entrusted with much." | Luke 16:10

Marami tayong blessings from God. Nasa kanya na ang lahat. Alam na nya ang lahat.

Ngayon ang tanong ko, san mo pa hahanapin ang lahat, if in Jesus, you have it all? :)

JESUS + Nothing =  EVERYTHING! :)
